To Golf Better, Use Your Brain

Our brains are an essential part of life, obviously. They enable our bodies to automatically, and subconsciously, breathe and circulate the necessary blood that transports the oxygen we inhale. Your brain is working at every waking moment. And, even when you don’t know it, it’s thinking about something and directing something else. So, it should be no wonder that to golf better, you need to use your brain. That’s the case with all things.

For instance, if you think you might be interested in longboarding, a completely different sport, your brain should direct you to read the longboard reviews for 2017. That way you can make an informed decision about the best board for your skating environment. You will be able to ascertain what kind of laminate board you want, and just how top of the line you want your trucks to be. The same is true about your golfing equipment and game, your brain has to be an active participant in the decision making process.

To Golf Better, Use Your Brain

Getting Your Brain in the Game

Golfing allows your brain to take one of two roles: BFF or enemy. It can make or break your game. So, being sure that your brain is a positive influence is the way to go. Therefore, it is time to learn a little about getting your brain in the game:

  • Decide- When you get to the course, use your brain to decide what kind of game you want to play. Some days it will be all about the competition, others will just be about the fun. Don’t try to compete on days when you have had little sleep, or your mind is buzzing with too many extraneous facts and concerns. Use those days to golf for practice and sheer enjoyment. Making that decision before you begin, will make a huge difference in how the time on the course goes for you. Read this.
  • Choose- Golfing, when deconstructed, is all about hitting a target. So, before you take a shot, choose what target you’re aiming for. When you are specific about where you intend to go with the shot, your mind will be more focused and considerably less nervous about making the swing.
  • Swing- When it comes to your swing, you need to try to stay consistent. Pick whether you will swing big or smooth. Either one will work for you. The issue, is making that conscious declaration so that your body doesn’t feel as erratic in the process. Consistency will do a good deal for alleviating any anxiousness you might feel on the greens. • Seek– Your brain loves spending time learning. That means seeking out an instructor is a great way to ensure that your golfing game improves. A happy brain is a successful one. Instructors don’t have to be people. You can read golfing books, or watch how-to videos on YouTube. As long as your brain feels like it is becoming more informed on technique, it will be far more comfortable directing your body to do as you decide. Click here for book ideas.

Face it, even the pros have bad days. Not even the best golfers can go untouched by the alarms that sound in our brains when we become uncertain. Think about longboarding, consider the amount of stress and fear that sport could induce. And, if it still seems like it might be slightly interesting, read more reviews on Top Sports Brands. Buy a House Big Enough to Fulfil Your Golfing Dreams

If you’re one of those golfing fanatics who loves the sport and knows everything about it, then we’re pretty sure that you’ve frequented the local golf or mini golf areas more often than not. That said, if that isn’t enough to satisfy your golfing urges, why not have your own golf course in your own home? Of course, not everyone’s house is large enough to afford the space for a real golfing experience. However, you could easily turn the backyard in your new home into a golf course, or even fashion a mini golfing course in your house if you lack space.

Buying a house large enough

You need to be rather passionate about golfing if you’re thinking about getting a house that is big enough just to have a proper golf course. Of course, no one is expecting you to purchase a house as large as a real golf course, but it should at least have a yard or outdoor space enough for you to play in. Finding the right mortgage broker for your dream house and golf course would be the first course of action.

Although you can try and negotiate things on your own with your bank, the best thing to do would be to take the help of a mortgage broker, as they’re professional and know what they’re doing. They’ll also ensure that you get the best deals possible. Visit mortgagebroker247.com.au if you’re looking for mortgage brokers who are not only reliable, but fast and efficient as well.

Building the golf course

Once you’ve bought a house that is large enough, it is now time for you to start building your golf course. The first thing to do would be to analyze your space and the amount of time that you want to spend building it. Keep in mind that it isn’t going to be as easy as it may seem and that you’d have to put in a lot of effort.

You’ll then need to get the equipment. Starting from the golfing equipment, you will also need to get a grass mower that will be able to cut the grass as short as is necessary. Next, focus on the ground type. Your backyard shouldn’t be too bumpy, as that will hinder the gameplay. The ground should be flat, and depending on the size of your backyard and the amount of time you intend to spend on its maintenance, you can have as much as a par 5.

Mowing is the next step. Take extra care while moving both the fairway and the green, that is, if you want it to really look like a proper golf course. Create hazards or traps with sand. You should have a maximum of 3 hazards in total, that is, if you really want them, and they shouldn’t be larger than 5 x 5 feet. And of course, the last thing to do would be to properly maintain all of the hard work that you put into it.
